I’ve finally been able to 3-star this tier when my previous attempt only yielded 1 star in Tier 2. What changed? Well, this time around I had enough Zetas for Jolee Bindo’s That Looks Pretty Bad unique. This amazing zeta allows Jolee to revive all defeated Jedi allies at 80% Health and grant those allies Crit Immunity for 5 turns.
I focussed my speed mods on GMY given it was crucial that he used the event special as early and often as possible and then spread the buffs around using his unique, Battle Meditation. However, as he was below G12, I could only use Mk V mods on him, getting him to 289.
Critical gameplay factors I followed closely (thanks to Redditor Bob_A_Ganoosh) was to kill the last enemy in each wave using Heroes Arise (with any toon that has it) that ensured JKL gets the first move in the next wave. This combined with JKL’s Leader ability, reduces the speed of all enemies to his base speed right from the start, severely curtailing their otherwise hyper speed. Then stun them with JKL’s Repulse special.
Other key recommendations by Bob is to kill GG first in stage 4 and Asajj first in stage 8. I personally did these both only after destroying the shield generator droids.
I did lose GMY twice, once in wave 2 and another in wave 8, but Jolee’s zeta saved the day. Without that zeta, I would have had to restart and certainly wouldn’t have been able to 3-star the event.
